PGD IN NUTRITION ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition Entrepreneurship focuses on entrepreneurial theory and practice relevant to the nutrition/food space from the perspectives of a stand-alone start-up company and within larger organizations.  This course is designed for students interested in exploring how entrepreneurship can be incorporated into food and nutrition and who may wish to begin to build an entrepreneurial skill set. The program encompasses important areas of knowledge and skills for future nutrition entrepreneurs, whether they intend to innovate within an organization or launch a food or nutrition-related business. Students will have opportunities to work with specialists in food and nutrition entrepreneurship in order to gain practical experience, build professional relationships and establish a foundation and direction for their careers after graduation

After the successful completion of diploma students will be able to:

  1. Evaluate the   market   opportunity   and   competitive   space for new business idea
  2. Apply entrepreneurship skills as a professional food service nutrition manager
  3. Apply entrepreneurship skills in community and public health sector

  • Sixteen years of education with major in Food or Nutrition Sciences, Culinary arts, Hotel management, tourism management, BS Home Economics (Food and Nutrition), B S/B.Sc. (Hons) Dairy Technology, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (specializing in Food Technology). Or industrial related personnel’s who are involved in such business after 16 years of education.
