- All sections in this application are to be completed in English; If online, relevant sections are to be completed for moving to next section.
- Questions must be answered completely and carefully. Please make every effort to limit your responses to the requirements.
- This application has nine (09) sections; sections not relevant may be marked as “Not Applicable”.
- Completed applications should be returned to Financial Aid Office. If submitting online, all attachments should be attached before you submit the application.
- You should be aware of the deadline for submission of applications
- Incomplete applications will not be considered
- Your application will be marked “Provisional” till you submit a final letter of admission by the relevant institution
Wakf Ur Rashid Trust History
Sardar Abdul Rashid Khan as a young man was very compassionate and kind. He entered the police service at that time in Pre-Partition India. It was then the Indian police service. He was amongst the highest police officers at the Rank of DIG in 1947.
Sardar Abdul Rashid, because of his love for the people and for his desire to give as much as he could to the Country for law and for the human rights, was so dearly loved, that in 1953 he was nominated to become the 8th Chief Minister of the Frontier Province. As Chief Minister, he worked extremely hard for two particular things: one, was to establish a Medical College in the Peshawar University which is today known as the Khyber Medical College; Now the Khyber Medical University.
Sardar Abdul Rashid was married to Begum Masuda Rashid. Begum Masuda and Sardar Abdul Rashid had bought a property in University Town, Peshawar located on the Grand Trunk road, in a very close vicinity to Peshawar University. Opposite their property they also built a commercial building on loan and created the Wakf Ur Rashid Trust to ensure provision of financial assistance through rental proceeds for the students of the Peshawar University and Khyber Medical College to give out as scholarships to the needy students particularly of Medicine.

Sardar and Begum Abdul Rashid Khan Scholarship Purpose
Scholarships are an important tool in helping students finance their education and support their academic pursuits. They are also a way for the University to recognize and reward academic achievement and community involvement. The University of Peshawar and Khyber Medical College are committed to supporting and empowering students in their academic and professional pursuits.
To further this goal, the Wakf Ur Rashid Trust shall offer a scholarship, stipends, Interest Free Loans, etc to assist with the financial burden of higher education and show promise and merit. The scholarship shall ordinarily be repayable to the Trust in easy installments of in a lumpsum by the applicant
