WHAT IS CERTIFIED CLINICAL RESEARCH PROFESSIONAL (CCRP)

The program of Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) responds to all the needs of the rapidly increasing field of Clinical based research. This creates a wide range of opportunities for the trained professionals. Clinical Research Professionals (CRPs) come from a wide variety of backgrounds. CRPs may have backgrounds in medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, food and nutrition, medical technology, nursing, business administration, health record maintenance, statistics, biology, teaching, or in other areas. CRPs work in various settings such as cooperative research groups; academic and private institutions; private offices; pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies; Clinical Research Organizations (CROs); Site Management Organizations (SMOs); independent research and development organizations; or organizations involved in the management of clinical trials. These varying backgrounds and settings contribute to the unique knowledge and diverse expertise of CRPs.

VISION:

This certification program is to provide an internationally accepted Certification Program for Clinical Research Professionals that defines a basic level of knowledge and experience for the conduct of clinical research as governed by the principles of good clinical practice by which certified clinical research professionals will be recognized by the medical research community.

MISSION:

To perform clinical trials efficiently and professionally in clinical research following the International Directives for clinical trial research (Declaration of Helsinki, ICH, and GCP Guidelines). To establish training programs to develop the next generation of clinical investigators and clinical trials personnel.

Applicants must be working under Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and must meet the following criteria sets:

  • MBBS/BDS, D Pharm, DPT, BSOT, BSN, BSc/MSc (Allied Health Sciences), BS PO, BS Nutritional Sciences, BS SLT/SLP or equivalent degree from HEC recognized universities
  • Preferred one year experience in clinical research
