ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Undergraduate Programs

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with at least 60% marks.
  • O levels (in at least 6 subjects) and A levels (with 3 subjects: Biology, Physics, Chemistry) or equivalent

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate / A-Level or equivalent

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • A-Level /Intermediate or equivalent ( Chemistry and Biology subjects compulsory) with 45% marks

Those who have completed FA/F.Sc./ICS/I.COM with minimum 45% marks

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate / A-Level or equivalent

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate (Pre-Medical) / A-Level (Biology Mandatory) or equivalent.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate (Pre-Medical) / A-Level (Biology Mandatory) or equivalent.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate (Pre-Medical) / A-Level (Biology Mandatory) or equivalent.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks or CGPA 2.50/4.00.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks or CGPA 2.50/4.00.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks or CGPA 2.50/4.00.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks or Intermediate (Pre-Agriculture) securing CGPA 2.50/4.00 or 45% Marks.

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • 12 years of formal education: F.Sc. /A level or Equivalent Education in Biology and Chemistry
  • Minimum 45% Marks at Intermediate Level or Equivalent
  • Equivalence certificate from IBCC in case of O/A Level
  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks.
  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks.
  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent recognized qualification with minimum 45% marks.

Postgraduate Programs

Candidate having background in:

  • 16 years of formal education with at least 2.5 CGPA in following programs
    • BS/B.Sc. Hons. Nutritional Sciences
    • BS/B.Sc. Hons. Home Economics (Major: Food & Nutrition)
    • BS / B.Sc. Hons. Human Nutrition & Dietetics
    • BS / B.Sc. Hons. Food Science & Technology
    • MBBS
  • Pass Subject Test organized by Department of Clinical Nutrition and Interview by Admission Committee
  • No 3rd division in entire academic career

Note:

  • Result awaiting students can apply but submission of complete official transcript at the time of interview will be mandatory.
  • CGPA in the last degree will be counted as past academic achievements.
  • Candidates who fail in the Departmental Test will be ineligible to appear for the interview.
  • Candidates with 16 years of education with a minimum CGPA 2.50* or 2nd division in 4 years of equivalent in non-business discipline from HEC recognized university/college. Candidates are required to complete additional 33 credits (11 courses) of undergraduate course work to complete degree.

*Lower CGPA students can be admitted if the performance in NIU MBA Entry test or Panel Interview is exceptional.

16 years of education with major in Economics/Business Economics/other related fields with at least 2nd division (annual system) or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 (semester system); and

50% marks in GAT/GRE/Departmental Entry test will be required for admission

Eligibility criteria for Admission in MPhil Physiology

The Candidate holding DPT, BDS, MBBS, Pharm-D and BS four years or sixteen years of education with major in Physiology with first division or CGPA=2.5 will be admitted to MPhil.   

Selection Criteria

An applicant shall be judged by the following criterion for admission:-

  1. Professional experience: for Teaching/Research/Professional experience
  2. Written test, i.e. GAT/GRE/ Department Test.
  3. Interview

Admission Criteria:

  • Sixteen years of education with major in Biochemistry, BS 4 Year degree (MLT, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Human Nutrition, Biotechnology or equivalent). Must have first division at master level with CGPA = 2.5/4.0 or 50 % marks in annual examination system from HEC recognized institutions.

OR

  • Second Division in MBBS, BDS, Pharm D
  • Written test, i. e. GAT/GRE/ Department Test
  • Interview
