ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Undergraduate Programs

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with at least 60% marks.
  • O levels (in at least 6 subjects) and A levels (with 3 subjects: Biology, Physics, Chemistry) or equivalent.

Those who have completed FA/F.Sc./ICS/I.COM with minimum 45% marks

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

Applicants who have successfully completed one of the following:

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical & Pre- Engineering) or equivalent with minimum 45% marks or Intermediate (Pre-Agriculture) securing CGPA 2.50/4.00 or 45% Marks.

• FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

• FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

• FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

• Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with 50% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects).

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification

Postgraduate Programs

Candidate having background in:

  • 16 Years of formal education with at least 2.00 CGPA in the following programs:
    • BS/B.Sc. Hons. Nutritional Sciences
    • BS/B.Sc. Hons. Home Economics (Major: Food & Nutrition)
    • BS / B.Sc. Hons. Human Nutrition & Dietetics
    • BS / B.Sc. Hons. Food Science & Technology
    • MBBS/BDS/BSN
    • Minimum 50% marks in GAT/Minimum 60% marks in University Admission Test and Interview.
  • Pass Subject Test organized by Department of Clinical Nutrition and Interview by Admission Committee
  • No 3rd division in entire academic career

Note:

  • Result awaiting students can apply but submission of complete official transcript at the time of interview will be mandatory.
  • CGPA in the last degree will be counted as past academic achievements.
  • Candidates who fail in the Departmental Test will be ineligible to appear for the interview.

Candidate having Minimum 2.00 CGPA in the following programs:

  • B.S/B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Science and Technology/ Food Technology or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture with Food Technology as major/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Economics (Food & Nutrition)/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Human Nutrition & Dietetics/ B.S. Food Science & Nutrition (with deficiency courses).
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Dairy Science & Technology/ B.S. (Hons.) Dairy Technology/ B.S. (Hons.) Animal Science/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology/ B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering/ Food Engineering/ Doctor of Veterinary Medicines.
  • Minimum 50% marks in GAT/Minimum 60% marks in University Admission Test and Interview.

Note:

  • The department’s board of studies will determine deficiency courses).

  • Candidates with 16 years of education with a minimum CGPA 2.50* or 2nd division in 4 years of equivalent in non-business discipline from HEC recognized university/college. Candidates are required to complete additional 33 credits (11 courses) of undergraduate course work to complete degree.

*Lower CGPA students can be admitted if the performance in NIU MBA Entry test or Panel Interview is exceptional.

  • 4 Year BA/ BSc (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or 60% marks in Masters after 2-year BA/ BSc.
  • The applicant should have done their Graduation/ Masters in Psychology.

Eligibility criteria for Admission in MPhil Physiology

  • The Candidate holding DPT, BDS, MBBS, Pharm-D, DVM, MLT degree or sixteen years of relevant education with second division or minimum 2.50 CGPA
    Selection Criteria:
  • An applicant shall be judged by the following criteria for admission  
  • Professional Experience: for Teaching/Research/Professional Experience
  • Minimum 50% marks in GAT/Minimum 50% marks in University Admission Test and Interview

Admission Criteria:

  • 16 years of education with minimum CGPA = 2.00/4.00 with major in Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ MLT/ Botany/ Zoology/ Physiology/ Microbiology/ Human Nutrition, or equivalent or minimum 50% marks in the annual examination system from HEC-recognized institutions.
  • Second Division in MBBS, BDS, Pharm D or equivalent
  • Minimum 50% marks in GAT/GRE/ Dept Entry test with Minimum 50% marks will be required
