MPhil Physiology

Physiology is an experimental scientific discipline and is of central importance in medicine and related health sciences. It provides a thorough understanding of normal body function, enabling more effective treatment of abnormal or disease states. Our goal is to understand how physiological systems encode, transmit, and act upon information from the level of single molecules to integrated systems of the cell, organ, and organism -as they must in order to ensure human health. We meet this challenge through the semiotic method combined with interactive teaching. The research programs of the department are based on recent developments at the frontiers of knowledge. The curricula for the degree program are designed to prepare the manpower needed for the economic development of the country. Scope

  • MPhil in Physiology will be a two years’ degree program and consist of 4 semesters. The MPhil program in Physiology will be a new program, not only to meet the growing demand for higher education but also to provide opportunities to Physiology is an experimental scientific discipline and is of central importance in medicine and related health sciences.

 

  • Students may opt for Ph.D. after completion of the MPhil program with some advanced courses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Candidate holding DPT, Pharm-D, DVM, MLT, and BS four years or sixteen years of education with at least second division or CGPA=2.00 will be admitted to MPhil Physiology

Selection Criteria

An applicant shall be judged by the following criteria for admission.

  • Professional Experience: for Teaching/Research/Professional Experience
  • Minimum 50% marks from GAT Subject or 60% marks in departmental test followed by an Interview by Admission Committee.

• The above Fee Structure does not include any govt. taxes and students will be charged taxes u/s 236 I of income tax ordinance. Students will be charged taxes when their annual fee would be more than PKR 200,000/-
• The fees and related charges are subject to revision at any time against non-proportionate inflation or an increase in the cost of the provision of services
• Additional Per Credit Hour Fee will be charged for Summer Semester or separate course offered during the normal tenure to meet the deficiency requirement
• To get the refund of security original receipt must be presented.
