Dr. Shazia Zahra has twenty-three years of clinical and academic experience in Nutritional Sciences. She has actively developed the field of Nutrition through promoting excellence in health and nutrition since 2006 at Fatima Memorial Hospital. Her passion in the field made her introduce B.Sc. in Nutritional Sciences at FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences for the first time in a Medical College in Pakistan, and recently, started BS in Nutritional Sciences and MS in Clinical Nutrition at NUR International University.

As an experienced Consultant Clinical Nutritionist at Fatima Memorial Hospital she has initiated “Health and Nutrition” Lounge to provide entrepreneurship opportunities to the fresh graduates and nutrition experts. With her commitment towards her area of expertise she started undergraduate internships in clinical nutrition, community nutrition and food & nutrition, where over 300 interns get this practical exposure every year. Moreover, she introduced a six months clinical nutrition training program for postgraduates to have hands on training on nutrition and its management.

Dr. Shazia is an explorer and did not keep the field of nutrition to academics and clinic but she started her own business with the name of Nesway in 2006, which is a food services and event management company and recently she has introduced her brand “Khaalis Kitchenette” under the food service umbrella.

Moreover, with her vast experience in community development she initiated School of Nutrition, a consultancy firm working in the following four main areas; (i) Health and Nutrition Lounge, (ii) Academia and Research, (iii) Food & Nutrition Services and (iv) Nutrition Social Development Foundation. She strives to raise awareness among general public by conducting camps and nutrition awareness programs at national and international level. Furthermore, she has been giving community lectures on “Nutrition and Health” to academia, in hospitals, Judiciary and at TV and radio shows.

She is a member of several important committees and part of education councils of Pakistan, to name a few, Academic Council of University of Faisalabad, Pakistan Nutrition & Dietetics Society (PNDS) and Pakistan Dietetics and Nutrition Association. She is one of the member of the nutrition wing of “Punjab Allied Health Council” by the University of Health Sciences and also an External Examiner of University of Health Sciences, Government College University Faisalabad and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

Dr. Shazia has an extensive research experience and is offering consultancy services at NUR Center for Research & Policy. Furthermore, she has provided consultancy services to establish nutritional sciences department at Rashid Latif Medical College and Multan Medical and Dental College.

Dr. Shazia, over the years has developed exceptional skills in nutrition, academics & consultancy services. She is passionate to bring a positive change in her community by raising awareness and developing implementation strategies in the field of nutrition
